I picked up the BlazeSeeker 210 as a lightweight option, and it's been great for quick checks and scanning without carrying something bulky. The 1.7–13.6x zoom gives me just enough range to spot movement nearby and still zoom in for a better look when needed. The image refresh is smooth at 50Hz, and it's been reliable when tracking animals moving through brush or open ground. What I like most is how simple it is, no fuss, just turn it on and go. Overall, it's a solid little monocular for anyone who wants something easy to carry and dependable in the field.

As a someone who has been behind the lens of dozens of thermal units, from premium Europeans to sub-$1k imports—the ATN BlazeSeeker 210 remains one of the sharpest entry-level thermal monoculars available around $500-600. It packs a 256x192 @ 12µm sensor with a <35mK NETD rating and smooth 50 Hz refresh, delivering clean, low-noise detection well past 400 yards on hogs or deer in thick cover, even if it's not quite the sub-20mK edge some pricier models claim. The base 1.7x magnification gives a wider field of view than many 1x starters, making quick scans easier, while digital zoom to 13.6x holds usable detail up to about 6-8x before noise becomes noticeable. Build is lightweight (around 0.6-0.7 lb) and IP67 tough, with solid button feel, focus-free lens, and reliable 7-8 hour battery life that survives cold nights. The ATN app integration shines here too—easy Wi-Fi streaming, recording to onboard storage, and that handy AI helper for on-the-fly settings. Great Bang for the Buck

As long as you have reasonable expectations about what a 256 sensor is capable of then you'll find this to be a great little monocular. It easily fulfills the adage of, "any thermal is better than no thermal." I've been able to spot wildlife at ranges out to 380 yards with it that I'd never have spotted with only night vision. It's not necessarily clear what the animal is at this range but, with a little bit of experience, the user can make an educated guess based on the animal behavior and then move closer if it's warranted. I've been able to visually ID larger animals out to 200ish yards pretty easily making it very functional for night hunts. The battery life has been very good and the value is excellent when they're on sale. Additionally, it's one of the smallest and lightest monoculars I've seen so it fits in kit where other monoculars wouldn't.

Surprisingly Terrific

First things first… the 210 is surprisingly terrific, and has exceeded my every expectation. It's very easy to use. You must input the password first, using the +- keys, then everything will "light up" and the images will surprise you. I recommend you go through the menu and turn down the brightness and contrast settings to #2 or #3, so your targets and the entire image will be sharp and clear. The low price really hides the thermal capabilities, and ATN did a great job with this scope. Simply tap the rear button to increase by steps the magnification up to 12x, tap the center button to change the "hot" image colors, tap the front button to take a photo, and tap and press the front button to record vide. After initial 5 minute setup and tweaking the menu items, the operation couldn't be easier….and you even get live views directly to the app on your phone or tablet. Great battery life too…. Basically, the Blazeseeker 210 is awesome

Super neat little dude

This is an awesome monocular. The microbolometer is 256x192 which gives us over 49 thousand points of thermal detail. And it's 50hz so you can scan without the chop and blur as seen in the 9hz unit (different brand) The price has gone up some due to the tariffs I suppose, so definitely use a coupon or wait and see if the tariffs get resolved soon. My only only complaint is that the power button is so smooth that my finger has difficulty finding it in the dark. I just put a single drop of super glue on it so I could at least feel how to turn the thing on at night. But if that's the worst of it then that's not bad. Pros: Affordability, resolution, refresh rate Cons: None

This is an Amazing Piece of Technology

It works perfectly, and it is amazing once you understand what it can do. I use it to scan an area for game or predators during the day and night. This being a lower-priced unit, it will alert to objects like cows and deer at great distances up to 600 yards, but identifying them is not going to happen. You will see the objects as hot, but the specific ID of the target is not going to happen unless it is inside the 150-yard-ish area. It picks up heat well, and I tend to like the "black hot" setting for scanning my areas. Battery life has been really good, and it has never run out of power during my trips in the field. I have used it to find bagged game in large fields by getting in the general area and scanning with this thermal. This gives me plenty of resolution for my needs and the price point is pretty amazing. It goes with me on all my hunts and has spotted game I would have missed. I have included a video of a cow at 80 yards with the alarm (crosshairs) on to give you an idea of what you will see.
